The team at SRC Group is proud to introduce a newly-branded 32-tonne tipper, developed in partnership with the Lighthouse Charity to help raise awareness of the vital support available to those working across the construction industry.
As a business operating at the heart of the UK’s construction and infrastructure sectors, SRC Group recognises the importance of supporting not only projects and operations but also the dedicated people who make them possible.
This latest initiative reflects a continued commitment to promoting wellbeing across the industry.
Construction remains one of the most demanding sectors to work in, with long hours, physically intensive roles, time away from family and significant pressure to meet deadlines. Whilst the industry has made considerable progress in prioritising physical safety; conversations around mental wellbeing have historically been less visible.
However, this is changing.
There is a growing recognition that individuals working in construction face a higher risk of stress, anxiety and depression compared to many other sectors. Addressing this challenge requires greater awareness, open conversations and access to meaningful support.

By incorporating the Lighthouse Charity’s branding and 24/7 helpline details onto one of our operational vehicles, SRC Group is helping to make sure that support information is visible across the environments where it’s needed the most. The vehicle will be present across sites, transport routes and operational areas, providing a consistent and accessible reminder that help is always available.
Oliver Rees, Managing Director at SRC Group, said:
“The Lighthouse Charity does incredibly important work supporting people across our industry and their families. Construction can be a tough environment and it’s vital that people know there is somewhere to turn if they need support. Having the charity’s message travelling around on one of our vehicles felt like a simple but effective way of helping raise awareness across the areas we operate in.”

The Lighthouse Charity is the only organisation in the UK and Ireland dedicated solely to supporting the construction community. Its approach focuses on providing holistic support across three key areas:
Emotional wellbeing
Access to a confidential 24/7 helpline and professional counselling services.
Physical wellbeing
Guidance and support for those recovering from injury or managing long-term health conditions.
Financial wellbeing
Emergency financial assistance and advice to support individuals and families facing unexpected challenges.
Sarah Bolton, CEO of the Lighthouse Charity, added:
“We are absolutely delighted with this amazing gesture from SRC Group. What better way to extend the message of support to our construction community, than by sharing our charity information proudly on a specially branded tipper. It’s incredibly eye catching and I have no doubt that this will be the talk of every site that it visits. Thank you to everyone at SRC for making this possible.”
At SRC Group, our circular economy model is built on the principle of reducing waste by reusing materials, leading to a more sustainable future for both our industry and the planet. This same principle also extends to our people; a sustainable industry depends on a resilient workforce and the more that we can support our colleagues, the better the long-term health of them and their families. Through our ongoing support of the Lighthouse Charity, we are putting this into action by playing a small part towards the wellbeing of those who keep our industry moving every day.
We are also proud to support a range of other charitable initiatives that help our local area, including our sponsorship of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance as well as several local sports and athletics groups. You can find out more about our community support, charitable initiatives and sponsorships here.
Support from the Lighthouse Charity is free, confidential and available to anyone working within the construction industry and their families.
As a local business with a wide regional footprint, SRC Group continues to play an active role in supporting the communities that we serve. Our dedicated team members remain committed to delivering not only high-quality services across all areas of our operations but also to contributing to a stronger, more supportive construction industry.
The introduction of the Lighthouse Charity tipper represents a practical and visible step towards encouraging open conversations and improving awareness of the available support.
